The Body Shop Haul! Kuwait..

Hey everybody!

This post has been in the making (by which I mean, on hold) for a while now! I remember posting a picture on my Instagram feed and then completely forgetting that I had to write this one up!

PhotoGrid_1441214291136 Well, recently, after my 10 KD Make up experience, I have started looking at the Body Shop differently. I always used to go there for their range of body butters, shower gels and perfumes; but I have recently discovered some new products that I am planning on using again.

Anyway, these are the things I bought:

DSC_0744 Green Tea Exfoliating Soap, Camomile Cleansing Butter, Vitamin E Night Cream, Solid Oils Lip Balm and Argan Oil Massage Soap.

DSC_0746I have used the Vitamin E Day and Night Cream in the past and since I was getting them for free, after having made the rest of the purchase, I picked two! They had a Buy 2 Get 1 scheme going on and I got pretty good deals on some of the stuff.

DSC_0748 This Lip Balm was also among the freebie baskets, so yeyyy!!! I have never used this before. The only lip products that I have used from the Body Shop, are their Lipsticks and Lip Tint. I am really looking forward to using this lip balm, but since I am already in Love with my boots one (which I mentioned in my Boots Haul post), I see no reason to start with this just yet.

DSC_0750 Next up, is this Cleansing Balm which I had heard of, a couple times and had been looking for, for ages! But for some reason, every time I went to the store, they would tell me it was out of stock. I was very happy to have found this because there were only five left. I ended up picking 2 because….why not! I have had the opportunity to use this a LOT  recently and I’m satisfied with the product.

DSC_0752 The Exfoliating Soap and the Argan Oil Massage soap are both new to me and I have not used them yet. I will definitely post a review once I know how they are.

Have you used any of the products mentioned here? I would love to know how its worked out for you 🙂

Boots Haul!

Hey there people!

As you may have figured already, this post is about my shopping experience at boots. I have been shopping at boots regularly, ever since I settled here and I am satisfied with the range of products that they offer. I almost always find what I am looking for, for the exception of good information about the products, since the staff is not always aware of what they are selling.

Last week I visited boots and picked up a bunch of stuff, including make up! Can’t wait to show you all what I bought..

DSC_0467Boots Botanics Fast Absorbing Hand Cream is one of my favorites hands down. Its very moisturizing and not at all greasy, like some of the other hand creams I have used. I also bought Avene Thermal Spring Water, which I am a fan of. It was my first time using it and it seems to be a multi purpose spray. It has multiple uses some of which include: Makeup removal, Diaper Rash, Facial Redness, Itching, Damaged skin, Sunburn, etc. I cannot say anything in terms of the effectiveness of the product as of now, but it seems like a good product. Also I got one free on the purchase of the other one, so it was a steal.

Most of the stuff was buy one get one free and I mostly find that offer on some or the other product, every time I go there. DSC_0470Moving on to Boots Shea Butter Lipcare..Lemme just say I have been living under a rock all this while! I didn’t know this thing existed or I was simply blind. Whatever the case may have been, I have now discovered one of the best Lip care products on the market. The Boots Simply Sensitive Hydrating Eye Cream is another product, true to its name. My – living under the rock days – are over! yey!

I also picked up some hair ties and mentos, because one can never have enough of those 😀

I don’t know about any of you out there, but I am always misplacing hair ties. Its always good to have some extra ones handy.

Buying Yarn In Kuwait..

As you know, I have introduced myself to the fascinating art of knitting recently and I cannot explain how pleased I am with it!

I have been constantly knitting ever since my last post and I haven’t really found the time to blog about whatever I have knit so far. I haven’t had the time to click pictures of what I have made so far but I did however, take pictures at the yarn store the last time I was there.

This is the place where I usually go to pick my yarn, when inspiration strikes. They have a good collection of yarn and a few different choices. Of course, most of it is acrylic but they also have 100% wool and 100% cotton yarns, at very reasonable costs.

Every time I go there I end up picking up extra yarn (which i would need to eventually replenish). Hence, another convenient excuse is ready, for a visit to the yarn store, even before I have a project in mind. I don’t know the name of the store because they don’t have any signs, but I’m guessing this store is an extension to an existing store in the market.

If you have ever been to Souq Safat, you will know what I’m talking about. There are many stores there and some retailers have a separate store dedicated to specialty items.

When I started knitting and found this store, I knew I was in love with all that yarn, the moment I set eyes on it. I have seen many yarn stores back home and know that they have much better varieties and options, but in a place like Kuwait, where choices are extremely limited, finding all this stashed in a tiny corner of Souq Safat was a relief.

So if you’re looking to shop for yarn, you better get it now, before the winters disappear for a long time 😛
